Hello lovelies! Today I am sharing a list of the things a college student should do over winter break. As you finish up the last of your finals, I hope you take the time to plan your break and think hard about what you want to accomplish (and not accomplish) during the holiday season!

 1. Apply for internships/scholarships

If you are still looking for the perfect summer 2017 internship, here is your time to get your remaining applications done. Also search for scholarship opportunities – even smaller rewards add up to money you don’t have to pay for college.

2. Catch up with friends

Schedule a meet-up with your old high school friends, or plan a fun trip with your college ones. Spend time hanging out with the awesome people in your life while you don’t have to worry about homework or finals.

3. Exercise

Now is the time to start thinking about your New Year’s resolution. If health is up there on your list, spend time exercising, join the local gym, or learn how to create healthier meal options for the upcoming semester. Related: How to Stay Healthy in College

4. Catch up on your entertainment

Have a huge reading bucket list that you haven’t gotten to? Or is there a movie you’ve been dying to go and see? Now is your chance to be entertained and not feel guilty about it!

5. Plan the upcoming semester

Start thinking about next semester and what you will need to do to achieve all of your goals. Consider any supplies you need to get ready, or form new study habits to help you tackle a difficult workload.

6. Catch up on sleep

All of those studying all-nighters have come to a sweet end (for a while, anyway). Spend the vacation doing what every college student loves most in the world – sleeping. Your health will thank you.

7. Take a spontaneous day trip

Get away for a while with a fun road trip to somewhere you’ve never been before. Get a car full of people you enjoy being with, and just drive.

8. Spend more time at work

College doesn’t pay for itself, after all. Most students find themselves picking up extra hours at work, since they have more free time and the promise of money is incredibly alluring. Consider paying off a few of your student loans this holiday season – what a great Christmas gift to yourself 🙂

9. Have fun!

Spend this break doing everything you want to do! Whatever busy activities you have planned, make sure you save yourself a little time to just relax, de-stress, and have fun. After a long and chaotic semester, you deserve it 🙂

Thanks for reading! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and holiday break! Please share your comments below or with me on Twitter @CaseyDonart
