Hello, lovely readers! Today I just wanted to share that I am indeed back at home in Wisconsin. Yesterday I left New York City behind for the summer and flew back home.
I had to get up super early to catch my flight (my roomie left around 5:30!), and then took a taxi to LaGuardia Airport. Unfortunately, my first flight from NY to Minneapolis was delayed by nearly an hour, so I got in about 40 minutes later than expected to Minneapolis. Luckily, my flight from Minneapolis to Green Bay had an hour and a half layover so I had about twenty minutes to wait before departure and didn’t miss my flight.
My parents were both there to pick me up from the airport in Green Bay, and then both my sisters and their kids came over to throw me a welcome home party! It was amazing seeing everyone after so long of being away, and I am really looking forward to relaxing and spending time with them during my two weeks at home.
On the 24th, I’ll be heading back to school in Madison, where I will be helping with campus move-in. Classes start early September, which will be a lot of fun but also really enjoyable this semester as most of my classes are in my major.
This already being my junior year is insane to me, I am really looking forward to this year and I think it will be a great experience, but I am also sad that college is already half-way over with!
I’ll definitely keep you updated the next few weeks of how the end of my summer has been, as well as more information about going back to school!
Thanks so much for reading my blog and sticking with me on this journey! Also please check out my #SundayPoetry post for today here. And feel free to comment below or share your thoughts on Twitter @CaseyDonart
