Hello lovelies! So it may come as no surprise to you all, but I absolutely adore food. Throughout every stage of your life, it is super important to eat healthy and get the right amount of each of the food groups. In college, we need food to stay active, healthy, and awake for classes, school work, jobs, student activities, and more. However, it can be tricky to find time to eat when your classes are blocked around lunchtime or you are running between classes. Therefore, I’m here to share a few simple and easy snack ideas that you can take with you on the go and enjoy whenever it’s most convenient to you!

Apples + Peanut Butter

One of my favorite combinations for a quick snack. Dip in the peanut butter and enjoy!

Hummus + veggies

Spread it on your desired vegetable or add it to a sandwich for extra yumminess. For some different recipes on how to make your own hummus, click here

Cheese + cucumbers

Avoid the carbs of crackers and eat your cheese between cucumber sandwiches instead. I’ve tried it and it’s actually amazing, I promise.

Greek Yogurt

Okay, I admit I avoid yogurt at all costs (it’s a texture thing). But supposedly it is high in protein and low in sugar, so if it’s your thing, go for it.

String Cheese

Wisco pride, represent :)! One stick is less than 100 calories, full of protein and calcium. It’s also the most convenient, storable food ever.

While oranges are high in sugar, they are less so than candy bars, and contain potassium, calcium and vitamins. Eat in moderation, of course.

Hopefully these snack ideas helped inspire you to change up your snacking routine and ensure you always get the right amount of nutrition you need. Thanks for reading! Please share your own favorite snack ideas in the comments or with me on Twitter @CaseyDonart –  I love talking about food 😉

xoxo Casey
